Founded in 2017
Welcome future adventurers!
The Fewer Things was founded in 2017 by Jaemi Lennon, after a trip to Japan in 2015, which changed the course of his life and was the catalyst to start teaching abroad himself, Jaemi spent 3 years abroad and then began building The Fewer Things. The main motivation for the The Fewer Things is to give easy access to the 'teaching abroad' life for everyone. We do this by working with well established education organisations, each school is vetted thoroughly in all locations as well working with the local authorities to assure all placements are legal and safe.
We were voted as the best teach abroad provider in 2020! Read about it here
What We Think
The Fewer Things is a movement with a simple yet powerful goal: to break the norm of a nine to five, corporate office job. We want to provide the aspiring youth of today with hope and freedom. We will allow you to travel, teach and live in an environment which you can truly make a difference to others’.
We can help you achieve the thing you most want from your next endeavour. We started The Fewer Things to allow anyone to experience a new way of living and to show people that there is a way out of the daily grind. More free time, more travel, more money.
We believe that it is incredibly important while you are young to create an environment in which you can succeed. Most of us as we grow older, become frightened; we are afraid of living, afraid of missing a payment, afraid of losing a job, falsely tied to tradition and regime.
If we only prepare ourselves to earn a livelihood, we will miss the whole point in life; and to understand life is much more important than working a 9-5.
Overview of Programs
We provide programmes and placements in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and South Korea.
We provide you 24/7 support from the moment you book your programme all the way to you finishing your contract at your school. We offer lifetime placement support for all of our teachers who want to teach and live in different countries.
We work closely with our partners in each location to provide you the support you need and to make sure you settle in nicely in your chosen location. Our partners will be your 'on-the-ground' support once you get to your chosen country and they will conduct all training and orientation when you arrive.
Enrolment and course fee's are non-refundable. In the unlikely event our partners are unable to place you in a school, we would raise the issue with our partners and determine the reason(s) for this. Each case will be dealt with on an individual basis and be subject to investigation. You may be entitled to a refund depending on the circumstances.
If a course or programme is postponed or cancelled due to no fault of either party, The Fewer Things would offer a free deferral to a later date.
